DeleteI remember this place. The news was crazy for it back.in the mid 90s. Didn't the headmaster have a breakdown after? I'm not surprised, all those children dying on his watch. They say it's sometimes harder to be a survivor.

ReplyDeleteI remember reading about this a couple years ago. Have done some digging, and seems it's all kosher. You can see the scans of the papers from the time if you look for them. Man - that's some real x-Files stuff. I don't know what happened but I don't want to know. Last thing we need is another Wellbrook.

ReplyDeleteYeah. It was my older brother who told me. Thought it was hilarious to scare the shit out of me. He was in high school and they had an assembly warning kids about spreading lies, several kids got expelled I think.

ReplyDeleteI see them sometimes. They come at night. You know when you feel a weight on you, and when you wake you're in that strange state between sleep and wake, and you cannot move? Well that's when I see them. They're still wearing their uniform, and I know it's them, I know it is. They whisper to me sometimes... They warn me about things to come, and they tell me that they were the lucky ones... That if we know what was to come next, we'd have wished for death back then too.

ReplyDeleteI ordered the book and as soon as it arrived the fuses in the downstairs hall blew. PROBABLY a co-incidence. I'm not saying one caused the other. But I am saying they both happened. Not read it yet. Left it in its amazon package in the front porch. Don't even want it in the house.

DeleteI was a cleaner at this school during the period in question. I worked in a team of three and we were responsible for classrooms, halls and stairwells, staff common areas and kitchens. (An external company was hired annually to do the outdoor work and maintenance to ceilings and electrical fixtures.). The other two in the team - Maggie and April - are long gone now. But I remember and I am available for interview. Get in touch.
